Has it really been that long, my friend? It’s almost July. You know, fireworks, BBQ, cruising the California shorelines with sands in my toes.
No, instead, I am sweating and heaving this Saigon pollution, barly escaping the urge to strangle the next Bi-Rain wanna-be.
Don’t think I have not been writing. I have, but just not here. I am becoming a Thổ Địa of Sàigon, getting to know my way around town a bit. I hustle the xe-ôm. I am no longer fascinated by the traffic or turned on each time I sucessfully make a left turn. I eat good stuff now, minus the funny stomachaches.
I have been practicing my Vietnamese here. Introducing ThổĐịa.vn - this website is still in Beta, but it’s basically a growing collection of local know-hows, know-whens, and know-wheres to eat, drink, shop. Happy Times!
