In memories of grandma…

Ah…8 years at USC. Hundreds of football games. Thousands of tacos at Chanos. Many sleepless nights at Levy Library (reading stuff that really did not relate to the subjects I was supposed to study for). Millions of pushups with USC Taekwondo. Lots of $$$ still owed the government. 5 years of full-time work. And very little schooling (or so it seems). And here I am, smiling like a fool who realized he’s finally gonna leap headfirst, half-drunken, into the real world.

My grandma, who took care of me ever since I was a child (and even more so when I was in the US). She looked so happy and healthy that day. Little did I know she was only 3 months away from passing due to cancer. My heart still skips a beat every time I look at this picture.

Among classmates, Doheny Library and Founders courtyard, where the main ceremony was held. “Peacock blue” is the hood color of my discipline (public administration). In the US, only the Master graduates wear the colored hoods to distinguish their major. The bachelors (BA, BS) just wear black hood (since they are all still in the dark and trying to figure out what they want to do in life, ha ha).

Gốc gác: bố Bắc Kỳ, mẹ Nam Kỳ. Bà Ngoại ở Mỹ, Bà Nội ở HN. Cư Trú: lang thang ở các nhà hàng xóm và bà con xung quanh Bà Rịa, ít khi ở nhà

Thành tích: mới 4 tháng tuổi đã đi máy bay ra HN chơi thăm bà con bên nội, thu gom ít tiền mua tã. Tung ảnh nóng lên mạng lúc 3 tháng.

Sở thích: nằm sấp (cái này mới được 2 tháng) coi TV các phim có Robots, cu lăn bột (sau khi tắm, rắc phấn lên đít và cu), nằm võng trên ai đó mập mập (như bác phố), và các hoạt động mang tính bản năng.

Cười kiểu này khó đoán là vui hay mới ị
